Succession Planning

There’s enough said about a manager’s role in succession planning through an organisation but not enough about self-succession... For the amount of time we spend making sure our people are in the right place and for the right amount of time, we should be taking time to ensure that we are providing value in our roles. Knowing when to move on, out, or up – and being bold enough to do something about it – should be part of our normal routine.
